14 policemen arrested for armed robbery, kidnapping

The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters (NPF) on Tuesday paraded fourteen of its men for involvement in kidnapping, armed robbery and other criminal activities.

While parading the suspects at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, Police spokesman DCP, Don Awunah, said the arrests were part of measures by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris to ensure the conduct of officers and men of the force conform to international best practices and norms.

The arrested include Yuguda Abbah, Habila Sarki, Diphen Nimmyel, Yasan Danda, Abbas Mailalle, Bwanason Tanko, Donan James, Idris Salisu, Zakari Kofi, Musbahu Yahaya, Ugenlo Sylvester, Musa Umar, Omale Edicha and Laibi Opakegba.

The police said it recovered several rifles and ammunitions from the sacked policemen and their accomplices.

The police also paraded fifty five other suspects.

  1. This shows that three qauther of the robbery that happen in our country are our security Agents ,what a shame the law must carry its cause on them
