19-year-old Uche Obiora has allegedly taken her life following a fight that ensued between her and her lover in Igando, Lagos.
According to reports, Obiora paid her usual courtesy visit to her boyfriend, Ernest Ihaza over the weekend and they got into an argument.
The reason for the argument is still uncertain as speculations of both infidelity and lost love in the relationship are rife.
However, reports have it that Ihaza said he was no longer interested in the relationship and out of anger, stormed out of the house – only to return to his girlfriend writhing in pain while clutching her belly on the floor.
Ihaza told the police that his late girlfriend had drank poison.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, confirmed the incident.
“Ernest Ihaza reported at the Igando Police Station that his girlfriend, Uche Obiora, committed suicide by drinking sniper insecticide. We are investigating the matter.”
