Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ grabs shocking nomination at the 2016 MTV Video Music Award (FULL LIST)

Kanye West nominated for 2016 MTV Video Music Award

Music, technology and art combined on Tuesday as the 2016 MTV Video Music Award nominations were unveiled via Facebook Live, while the nominees for the Video of the Year category were painted on a panoramic mural in New York’s East Village.

Beyoncé racked up a personal best of 11 nominations, the most number of nominations at the awards; landing a spot in the Video of the Year category with Formation.

Coming behind her is British star, Adele who got eight nominations, seven of them from are for the video of her 25 hit  – Hello – which also makes the cut for the Video of the Year category.

Talking about the Video of the Year, one shocking nominee was Kanye West for the highly controversial video for Famous.

The award is to hold at the Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28 2016.
