rap video shooting

For the third time in recent months, someone has been shot during the filming of a rap video. A 22 year old Houston, Texas man died after being shot during the filming of a rap video early Sunday morning.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said that at about 1:20 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence where a rap video was being filmed.

Witnesses tell police that a fight broke out in the street in front of the home and Tyrell Young was fatally shot. He was taken to Willowbrook Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This is not the first shootout during the filming of a rap video in Houston. In the early hours of Saturday morning on April 13th, a group of unidentified suspects opened fire on the production crew in front of a Houston home, according to police.

The rapper who was featured in that video was hit a number of times and taken to the hospital.

Also, seven people were injured when at least three gunmen opened fire at a Chicago nightclub in March. According to police, three men pulled out guns both outside and inside  of Mr. G’s Supper Club and Entertainment Center on the South Side  Chicago, where a rap video was being filmed, and opened fire.

Police have not made any arrests in the most recent shooting.
