4 killed in fresh Kaduna attack

Fresh attacks have claimed four lives in Kadu as unknown gunmen attacked Mile One Village in Tafan District.

Several houses including the house of the village head were burnt during Friday’s attack.

A resident, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Kafanchan that the hoodlums launched an attack against the residents between 2 p.m. and 10p.m on Friday.

The Interim Chairman of Jema’a local Government Area, Bege Katuka, confirmed the incident via telephone.

He said, “I just left the affected village barely 30 minutes ago, I was there to assess the extent of damage.’’

The recent attack comes just a day after the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) urged President Muhammadu Buhari, Kaduna governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to put an end to the killings in Kaduna.
