On Tuesday, the  All Progressive Congress (APC) conducted its primary for the state assembly and amidst the elections, four people died.

During the primaries, protests broke out in one of the zones in the Ebute Meta area of Lagos leaving  four young people dead while several others were wounded.

Twenty vehicles were vandalized on four streets, namely Kano, Ondo, Odunfa and Ibadan.

Reports say the riot broke out after results of a primary election conducted for two candidates of the All Progressives Congress ─ Oladele Adekanye (Lado) and Bashiru Oloto were released.

The two men were aspiring to get the APC ticket to represent the Lagos Mainland Constituency one in the 2015 elections, but Lado, a former council chairman, won.

As soon as the results were announced, more than 100 aggrieved party members from Apapa Road trooped into the streets wielding guns and other weapons.

One person was reportedly shot on Simpson Street, two died on Lagos Street, while victim was killed on Ibadan Street.

Meanwhile, the election at the Surulere and Ikeja Constituencies ended with mixed results for the entertainment industry.

Nollywood actor, Desmond Olusola Elliot, defeated Kabiru Lawal to emerge the APC candidate for Surulere Constituency while singer, Kenny Saint Brown (KSB) was defeated in the Primary by Folajimi Mohammed, the son of APC National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, in her bid to represent the Ikeja Constituency.
