The All Progressives Congress has officially presented Alhaji Yahaya Bello as its replacement for the late Prince Abubakar Audu in Saturday’s supplementary election.
The announcement was made on Monday, at the National Secretariat of the APC, in Abuja.
The National Working Committee of the ruling party opted for Bello, who was the runner-up to Audu in the APC governorship primaries.
After meeting with the party’s NWC for over 3 hours, the national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun made the announcement, and urged leaders and stakeholders to accept the decision of the party.
It was also announced that James Faleke, the running mate of late Audu Abubakar, was selected as Bello’s running mate but he rejected the offer.
