The Nigerian Police Force has yet again thwarted attempts by Bring Back Our Girls campaigners to see President Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa today.
This time, the Police Force made the first move by storming the meeting point of the campaigners and barricading them from moving out to protest. When the campaigners finally broke through the barricade, they were met by a Pro-Buhari group “With Buhari We Stand”.
In the midst of the brouhaha, here are the most ridiculous things we’ve heard today in defence of President Buhari’s stance on the Chibok girls.
“Chibok girls were only used as a scam”. These were the words of a man who identified himself as Idris King. He spoke on behalf of the pro-Buhari group.
“The BBOG campaign is sponsored to undermine the administration of the APC”, according to Idris King, spokesperson for the pro-Buhari group.
This tweeter thinks this BBOG protest is a blackmail attempt:

“The President is a man of peace and his effort to move the nation forward should not be disrupted.” The Buhari supporters group reiterated this as they urged the BBOG campaigners to stop what was supposed to be a peaceful protest.
“Leave President Buhari to work for Nigerians”. This is the declaration the “With Buhari We Stand” group made today. It’s still not clear who they are and who contracted them to do this shady job.
