Thursday, August 27, marked 500 days since over 200 girls were abducted by Boko Haram, from Chibok, in Borno state.

To commemorate the day, a rally was held in Abuja, by the members of the BringBackOurGirls group.

Former Minister of Education and BringBackOurGirls co-convener, Obiageli Ezekwesili, Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Shiekh Nuru Imam, Senator Dino Melaye, were a few of those who turned out for the rally.
