A stranger told me an amazing story of a man named Jesus Christ

That was when the worry on the face of this visitor lifted. He was talking about Jesus Christ, while I thought he came looking for my roommate Jesus Dusantos, a cool guy from Greece. He plays trumpet in the University’s orchestra.

“Have you met Jesus?”

“Of course, he just left”

Honestly I do not understand why the departure of Jesus should bother this visitor to my room so much. I am in Yale’s law school, “what is it to you that you are so worked up about the departure of Jesus?” I asked.

The visitor having cursed himself, and lamenting about Jesus being a saviour, which actually made no sense to me, he demanded, “Aren’t you worried that you missed the trumpet?”

“Not a bit”, I replied, then went into the room to retrieve Jesus’ trumpet, “the trumpet is right here with me”. That was when the worry on the face of this visitor lifted. He was talking about Jesus Christ, while I thought he came looking for my roommate Jesus Dusantos, a cool guy from Greece. He plays trumpet in the University’s orchestra.

But the wonder does not end there, this visitor starts to tell me about Christ, because there were lot of guys name Jesus that he opted for Christ, about how this Christ was killed. One it was enough that this Christ fellow was killed for an offence he knew nothing about, then I learnt he was killed alongside two thieves. What a humiliating way to die in his Jewish culture, that was a big case in my opinion as a law student, but I couldn’t help this Christ since he allowed himself to be killed for nothing.

Again the guy wove a hopeful twist to the story- not that I believe anybody can die and come back to life after three days- but when this visitor told me that Christ mysteriously came back to life, I asked. “Tell me he sued the asses of those who killed him unjustly?”

I would have taken the case if no lawyer will take it in the United States, though I am only a law student, but my visitor said, “No”. He stressed that Christ died for me, ”He paid” was his exact word. Now what kind of guy pays the debt of somebody he never met? These Christ is just weird.

That was when the visitor start telling me about a trumpet sounding, now I understand why he was so scared when he thought Jesus had left without him……

If you are reading this story, and you miss the trumpet, you will only have yourself to blame.

Happy Easter.
