Following the appointment of Brig-Gen. T. Y. Buratai, as the Chief of Army Staff by President Muhammadu Buhari, a new head of the multinational force on Boko Haram has been appointed.
The newly appointed commander of the multinational force is Major General Iliya Abbah.
Before his appointment, Abbah was the head of military operations in the Niger Delta.
