Opinion: Dear Kaduna voters, it’s time to vote APC into power

Mallam-Nasir-el-RufaiWe have a State rich in history, culture, diversity, knowledge, creativity and hospitality; a melting point of culture and tradition, the Lagos State of the North! We can get better, we deserve better, and we deserve #Change

On April 1, 2015 I woke up feeling like the proudest Nigerian alive. A Nigerian with the desire to see his nation’s continued existence, a Nigerian who believes God almighty placed us all in one beautiful, huge piece of land to be an example to the World that no matter how different we all are, no matter our different beliefs, we can unite and make the World a better place. We started by doing so with the ballot box on March 28, 2015 and with Prof. Attahiru Jega’s last words in the early hours of April 1, 2015 at 2:57am we as Nigerians had created history.

General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) was declared President-Elect in the best democratic exercise ever conducted in our nation. My joy knew no bounds because finally I have a President I believe in.

At that point in time one person came to my thoughts – his name is Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, a former Minister of the F.C.T and currently the APC Gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State for the April 11, 2015 polls. I remembered a conversation we once had about his ambition to lead Kaduna state, returning it back to its glory days and making it one of the leading states in Africa. A befitting title for a State of its caliber and age.

He said, “I am relishing the task, as you know, I never back down from a challenge!” But that something important made him scared; for him to have a successful tenure as Governor of a State with an extremely high debt profile and infrastructural deficiency, he would definitely need a willing, able partner and a friend heading the Central Government. Alhamdulillah, on May 29, 2015 your wish and prayers shall come into fruition Mallam. Not only will you have a willing partner and a friend at the helm of the central government, but also a mentor of yours, an elder brother, a father figure and an honest leader, General Muhammadu Buhari.

My plea to you my brothers and sisters, indigenes and non-indigenes of Kaduna State, we have shown Nigerians and the world that we crave #Change by giving the President-Elect General Muhammadu Buhari 1,127,760 votes. I believe and I know deep down inside of me that we can even do better. From Jere to Saminaka, Zaria to Kafanchan, Fadan Kagoma to Hunkuyi and Zangon Kataf let’s come out in mass and complete the journey we started. Let us give Mai-Rusau over the 2,000,000 million votes he deserves, let us send him to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House so that he can return Kaduna State to its legitimate place as capital of the Northern States of Nigeria.

Nasir El – Rufai is a man of leadership, great character, charisma, direction, focus and integrity. He has a passion to serve Kaduna state and Nigeria. A proven administrator with credentials and experience that his peers would give an arm to have. He is a man whose love for Kaduna State, its Indigenes and residents transcends any religious boundaries and ethnic brick walls.

We should shun all forms of negative campaign against his candidacy. At this crucial time in Kaduna state, we don’t need a Governor who is more concerned about his photo on billboards, looks and flamboyant dressing than the welfare and unity of his people. We need competent and dedicated leaders with a team of technocrats.

We should show the APC gratitude for presenting a capable son of the State to us. He is one person I trust to do what is best in the interest of the State by handing over or choosing a competent successor at the end of his tenure, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations.

We have a State rich in history, culture, diversity, knowledge, creativity and hospitality; a melting point of culture and tradition, the Lagos State of the North! We can get better, we deserve better, and we deserve #Change

Kada garin Gwamna!

Vote Nasir el-rufai for Governor! #VoteChange #VoteWisely #DeliverYourPollingUnit #MallamWhenYouGetThere #SaiMaiRusau

God Bless Kaduna State, God Bless Nigeria, and God Bless the President – Elect General Muhammadu Buhari.

  1. Mallam Abdulrahaman you have done well to project the positives of Nasir. I think you ought to have told us his negatives as well. I know this man fairly well and I believe I can say a few words on his short comings.
Anyone who has related with this individual will attest to his arrogance and condsending attitude. He believes no one does it better than him. He is equally corrupt; in fact a common member of the thieving elite. He is so opportunistic. Peolple really do not the inner workings of this chameleon.
I’d like to refresh your memory about what he said about Gen Buhari that he so much reveres today. Nasir said, “Buhari is perpetually unelectable because of his insensitivity to Nigeria’s diversity and parochial focus”. Unfortunately, this ungrateful and inconsistent fellow is now hiding or riding on GMB’s popularity to rise to power.
Most people are foolishly carried away by the Change mantra of APC without actually sifting the Wheat from the Chaff. Among all the guys in APC, Buhari is the only good person. All the rest are PDP criminals who caused a lot of problems for the Gen they riding on his popularity to power. Enough for the wise!
