Nollywood actress cum politician, Kate Henshaw has lost out in the primaries to represent Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar South Constituency of Cross River State in the House of Representatives.

She confirmed the news on Twitter minutes ago saying: “The primaries was conducted in an orderly manner. It was fair and  transparent. Sadly I did not make it. My congrats to the winner.”

Consolatory messages from fans have started pouring in.

Recall that on Tuesday, the All Progressive Congress (APC) conducted its primary for the state assembly and top Nollywood actor, Desmond Olusola Elliot, defeated Kabiru Lawal to emerge as the APC candidate for Surulere constituency, while it was a story of loss for Kenny Saint Brown (KSB) as she was defeated in the primary by Folajimi Mohammed, the son of APC national publicity secretary, in her bid to represent the Ikeja constituency.
