Jada was said to have resigned on Tuesday, and had written a letter dated December 30, to that effect, addressing it to the state chairman of the party.
The letter did not state his reason for resigning.

“I, Umar Bello Jada, humbly write to formally inform you that I have resigned from my position as the State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamawa chapter.
“I very much thank you and the party for giving me the rare opportunity to serve in that capacity.
