Alan Rickman, ‘Professor Snape’ of Harry Potter, dies at 69

Iconic British actor, Actor Alan Rickman, famously known as Professor Snape in the Harry Potter franchise, is dead.

The actor who suffered from cancer, passed on at the age of 69.

A statement by his family said: “The actor and director Alan Rickman has died from cancer at the age of 69. He was surrounded by family and friends.”

Rickman was renonwed for his roles in Harry Potter, Die Hard, Truly Madly Deeply and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which he won a BAFTA for in 1991.
