Anambra youths may be jungle-bound, as Governor Obiano visits Ultimate search contestants

The youths of Anambra state may be having a feel of the jungle in the nearest future, going by the comments of the Governor of the state, Willie Obiano, when he visited the contestants of the Gulder Ultimate Search.

On Friday, 10 October, Obiano paid a surprise visit to the contestants of 11th season of the Gulder Ultimate Search. He was taken around some parts of the Aguleri jungle by Chidi Mokeme, and also to the makeshift camp of the contestants.

Obiano was evidently fascinated and impressed by the contestants, and he made it known.

He said: “I’ve just been taken round the jungle and I saw the living arrangements, what they have to pass through to be able to discover the treasure. It was a very exciting sight for me. It reminds me of my Boys Scout days. I even shared some chants that we used to do during my Boys Scout days with the contestants. I will see how I can borrow some ideas here and perhaps implement it for the Anambra Youths; once in a while, we might consider them to have a feel of the jungle.”

He also promised to be on hand to crown the winner on Saturday, 1 November.
