Another bomb-making factory uncovered and demolished in Kaduna

Another bomb making factory was discovered yesterday January 25 in Rigasa, Kaduna State and immediately destroyed.

Nigerian security operatives revealed that the building was housing several weapons and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)-making equipment.

According to reports, armed security officials made up of the police, SSS and army, stormed the area Friday afternoon, the operation led them to bringing down the entire house.

This is the second house in Kaduna demolished after being identified as bomb making factory. About a month ago, five suspected terrorists were killed and two others seriously injured during a similar operation.

Weapons which included, five Mark 4 riffles, three Pump Action riffles, 20 rolls of detonating cords, 21 nine volts batteries, two remote switches, one testing meter, five assorted daggers and jackknives, and other Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) materials were recovered.

The Assistant Director, Army Public Relation, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman said, yesterday’s exercise took place and weapons, IEDs were discovered with the building destroyed. “It is part of the cordon and search operation based on information received, whenever the need arise the security will continue to carry out that exercise,” he said.

“I can confirm to you that it is a joint operation in which weapons and IEDs materials where discovered. “We have discovered things and in line with our resolve, we have demolished the building, because we discovered a lot of weapons and IEDs-making equipment”, Usman stated.
