Oyegun gets vote of confidence from APC’s Executive Committee

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, John Odigie-Oyegun, has had a vote of confidence passed on him by the National Executive Committee of the party.

The NEC passed the vote on Odigie-Oyegun, who has come under immense criticism over the National Assembly crisis, with some party members calling for his resignation.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lai Mohammed, announced the party’s decision while briefing newsmen about details of the NEC meeting in Abuja on Friday, July 3.

He said: “The National Legal Adviser of APC came to seek the approval of NEC as to certain categories of members who should be members of the Board of Trustees.”

“The approval motion was moved and it was unanimously adopted, subsequently, the NEC and the governors passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the party.”
