Governor Segun Mimiko of Ondo State, has declared that going by the signs on ground, APC would not be able to retain Lagos State and the rest of the states it holds sway, in the South West in the next year’s governorship election.

In his remarks, the Ondo State State Governor noted that Lagos State and the rest of the South-West is likely to fall to the PDP in the next election.

The Governor who only recently returned to the PDP from the Labour Party (LP), said the PDP is making in-roads into the South West citing Ekiti and Ondo states which he said are now completely within the PDP fold.

Stating that PDP is gaining a foothold in the region, Mimiko said “I’m thinking now that with the configuration on the ground, apart from Osun that is already won by APC, I think it will be difficult for APC to hold on to any state in the South West.”
