Army arrests another wanted Boko Haram insurgent

Another Boko Haram insurgent, Ishaku Wardifen, has been arrested by troops of 23 Brigade Special Battalion at a check point in Maiha, Adamawa State.
Wardifen is one of the 100 insurgents who was recently declared wanted by the Nigerian Army.
Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director Army Public Relations, released a statement, saying that preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspected terrorist is a Cameroonian citizen.
The Army also stated that Wardifen is serial number 22 on the list of the 100 suspected Boko Haram terrorists.
“The suspect has been handed over to military intelligence for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Nigerian Army would like to once more call on all citizens and all well meaning residents of our country to continue to be more vigilant and security conscious to enable us rid our great nation of the menace of terrorism and insurgency.”
