A spokesperson for the police in Kogi state have given reasons why Mohammed Audu, son of late governor of the state and other members of the family were arrested, Premium Times reports.
According to the source simply identified as ASP Ovye, the family members were arrested by the police for alleged “culpable homicide, robbery and mischief”.
YNaija reported earlier on Thursday that Mohammed, Audu’s eldest son had been arrested.
He was detained on Wednesday after honouring an invitation from the Police.
The source said the arrests were effected by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, stating that further questions on the matter be directed to the state Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Ibrahim.
The police commissioner when contacted said the matter is still under investigation.
