Hardly would anyone have called today’s fixtures a Super Sunday last season in the English Premier League, but this time around- there was all to play for.
In the first game of the day, Arsenal grabbed a much-needed win against Leicester in the dying seconds of added time as Danny Welbeck rose high to head in Mesut Ozil’s free-kick to come from behind to win 2-1 against the 10-man foxes at the Emirates.
In the second game of the day, it was a free-flow of goals as Liverpool smashed 6 un-replied goals past bottom-placed Aston Villa to inflict more pain in Villa’s relegation battle.
Finally, the biggest game of the day saw Manchester City lose to second placed Tottenham Hotspur courtesy of a late Christian Eriksen goal after the Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho had equalised for City.
