He is known for lavishing affection on the growing girl every chance he gets.

And Beyonce made sure to capture a sweet moment between Blue Ivy and her doting father Jay Z on Monday.

The 32-year-old posted to her Facebook page a snap of the rapper bonding with the 22-month-old as he held the tot high above his head in an idyllic tropical setting.

In the social media picture the 43-year-old hip hop mogul can be seen ankle deep in an infinity pool as he dandles the child above him.

But the affectionate display is not surprising as the Young Forever rapper has made his love for Blue Ivy a very public affair.

When she was just two days old Jay Z recorded Glory, an ode to his daughter, that sweetly communicated the depth of his love for the newborn.

But he’s not the only one writing songs about the girl, who was born in January 2012.

Beyonce has just previewed her new track God Made You Beautiful, with a short clip of the love song playing in the trailer for the superstar’s Life Is But A Dream DVD.

With lyrics about her daughter, the ballad is a heartfelt tribute to Beyonce’s little girl, a couple of months before her second birthday.

The star unveiled the trailer for her documentary Life is But a Dream this week, ahead of it’s release on DVD on November 25.

Beyoncé is currently touring Australia as part of her The Mrs Carter Show gigs, with Blue in tow, before she moves on to North America for a second run next month.

She will wrap her world tour in New York City on December 22.

Despite immense anticipation from her fans, there is still no confirmed date for the release of her fifth studio album, which will serves as the follow up to her last solo effort 4, released back in 2011.
