Hollywood actress, Kerry Washington, won our Nigerian hearts yesterday when she tweeted in Igbo language while wishing her over 1.3 million fans a happy New Year.

The Scandal star who is expecting her first child, is married to Nigerian NFL star, Nnamdi Asomugha who is Igbo.

The tweet which can be translated literally to mean, ‘they went home empty handed’, earned her a lot of praise, especially from her Nigerian fans, some of who shared the tweet on their social network.
