A federal judge sentenced a former DeSoto Parish School Board member to jail on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Western District in Shreveport.
Bartholemew Claiborne, 37, was sentenced to one year and one day in prison after pleading guilty to distributing cocaine on 14 separate occasions during 2011 and 2012. Claiborne was caught on surveillance tape.
A year long investigation led to the arrest of Claiborne and over a dozen other people for distributing cocaine and methamphetamine.
