The Germany’s Next Top Model host was being honoured along with Janet Jackson at the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) event for her extensive charity work.

Seal’s ex was being honoured for her exceptional contribution to the fight against AIDS and dazzled at the event in her outfit.
At 5ft10in the mother-of-four stood tall on the red carpet in the shimmering gown which perfectly complemented her figure.
Her hair was ironed and fell with razor precision down her shoulders, adding to the drama of her charcoal eye make-up and a drop necklace.
Heidi who is dating her bodyguard Martin Kristen following her split from Seal, left her relatively new beau at home for the evening.
Martin, has been dating the media personality since last September and she certainly seems happy enough in her new relationship to leave her hunky man at home.
Heidi tweeted she was joined by world-renowned fashion designer Michael Kors at the event and simply wrote: ‘Thank you amfAR after receiving her award.
Designer Kors was honoured by amfAR for his dedication to amfAR’s causes, including his work as executive producer of the organisation’s documentary The Battle of amfAR.
Janet Jackson was also honoured at the event, accepting her award in a chic black dress.
The evening’s tone was not all a serious one, however.
John Legend, flanked by his fiance Christine Teigen and the beautiful Anne Vyalitsyna was wearing quite the Cheshire grin when the ladies simultaneously leaned in to kiss him on the cheek.
Lindsay Lohan was also in the crowd, wearing a glittering silver and gold gown that matched her miles of hair extensions.
Mingling with the models was also Ashley Greene, who appeared to be channeling a Greek godess with leaf detail on the belt of her white key-hole gown.
Since 1998, the amfAR New York Gala has become one of New York City’s most successful and high-profile AIDS benefits.
The Gala has saluted some of the biggest names in entertainment, fashion, art, and AIDS advocacy, including Roberto Cavalli, President Bill Clinton, Clive Davis, Richard Gere, Whoopi Goldberg, Tom Hanks, Sir Elton John and David Furnish, Quincy Jones, Donna Karan, Liza Minnelli, Rosie O’Donnell, Natasha Richardson, Carine Roitfeld, Julian Schnabel, Sharon Stone, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Diane von Furstenberg, Barbara Walters, Robin Williams, and Anna Wintour.
