Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Friday, met with media practitioners in Nigeria at the Presidential villa Abuja to discuss the achievements of the federal government as it prepares to mark its one year in office.

 

2) Did Niger Delta Avengers blow up another oil installation?

The militant group early this morning tweeted that: “At About 2:15am on Saturday the @NDAvengers blow up Nembe 1, 2 and 3 Brass to Bonny Trunk Line belonging to Agip and Shell.”

We await confirmation from the oil companies and federal government.

 

3) Yobo takes a bow

Ace footballer, Joseph Yobo, had his testimonial football game at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Friday evening.

The event was well attended by Nigerians, including celebrities and former players.

 

4) Kano Islamic teachers sent for further training

50 Imams and Islamic scholars have been sent to Saudi Arabia for further training.

According to a statement from the state government the clerics will earn a N20, 000 monthly stipend.

 

5) Clarence Peter’s stolen property

Popular cinematographer, Clarence Peters, was reportedly robbed of his camera worth $60,000 while shooting a music video in Ghana three days ago.
