Reports reaching us show indicate ongoing violence in Lagos Island today.

According to a YNaija citizen correspondent in the area, “the issue started after the NURTW elelctions which was held over the weekend. One member of a rival faction has been reported dead while several people have been injured and properties destroyed.”

The trail of destruction has passed through Agarawu St, Aroloya st, Palm church Street, Princess Street and Isale gangan Street.

The warring parties are also said to be armed with guns and machetes whille they burn cars and houses.
