Borno state government on Sunday has declared Monday as a work-free day for the visit of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Presidential Candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, to the state.

The Secretary to the State Government Baba Ahmed Jidda stated this in a statement issued to newsmen. He said the gesture was to enable residents of the state welcome Buhari to the state for the presidential rally.

“The Borno Government has declared Monday as a work- free -day. The declaration is to enable the people of the state welcome the APC Presidential Candidate Muhammadu Buhari who will be coming to Maiduguri on a campaign visit on Monday,” he said.

Jidda urged the party supporters to come out en-masse to welcome the visitor. “Gov. Kashim Shettima has enjoined all Borno residents to come out en-masse and line up the streets to welcome the peoples’ general,” the statement further added.

How many states declared public holiday for a presidential rally.

He should have made it a 7days holiday
