Dasuki, Yuguda, Bafarawa others get bail, trial fixed for February

The former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has been granted bail by a Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, Abuja, alongside others who are standing trial on a 22-count charge for alleged diversion of funds, misappropriation and breach of trust to the tune of N19. 4 billion.
The judge presiding over the case, Justice Peter Affen, on Monday, granted bail to Dasuki and others in the sum of N250m with two sureties in like sum.
One of the sureties that each of the accused persons must produce, will have to tender title documents of N250 million worth of property which the court ordered must be valued by a registered estate valuer.
Those granted bail alongside Dasuki are a former Director of Finanance and Administration in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu‎, a former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, his son, Sagir Attahiru, a firm Dalhatu Investment and and a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda.
Among other conditions, the accused persons are expected to deposit thier passport with the court.
The judge fixed February 2 and 3 for trial.
