After a month of waiting for news of the rescue of over 230 schoolgirls kidnapped from their dormitories in Chibok, Borno state, Nigerians are struggling to keep the hope of finding the missing girls alive.

In this documentary, Maverick Films bring to focus the diverse opinions of Nigerians on terrorism and the #BringBackOurGirls campaign in particular.

“[The abduction] is all a game to me. According to reports, when they left, the vehicles broke down by 6 O’Clock, they stayed there for 2 hours to repair the vehicle before they left… by 8 O’Clock in the morning… and somebody says it was real,” a respondent said in disbelief.

“[I think] it’s a way off distracting the government from concentration… it is a political matter,” he concluded.

Another respondent couldn’t hide her disgust at the delayed response of the government. She said “it is depressing. As a mother I cannot imagine what could have happened to the girls… I think we should be ashamed of ourselves because if the kids were theirs I’m sure they would not delay this much. It’s very sad.”
