Bruce Jenner is transitioning into a woman – and the reality star has reportedly told his family that he has known he was meant to be a female since the age of five.

TMZ reports that family sources have told the site that ‘he has kept his “true self” inside since he was a child and even during the ’76 Olympics.’

But the site adds: ‘We’re told Bruce has “never been female” in front of any of his kids. As for what that means, we’re told in part he never wore female attire around the children.’

For now, the star has not yet revealed to his family what his new name will be and he apparently does not plan to reveal it during an interview with Diane Sawyer.

Bruce and Diane are said to be in final talks to air an exclusive interview.

No doubt Bruce has a lot on his mind at the moment – he was involved in a fatal car crash last week and the athlete turned reality star is trying to move past the harrowing accident.
