Buhari condoles with the family of Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday expressed his condolence with the family of Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr.

The late Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr. died on Tuesday at the age of 47.

In his condolence message, Buhari said, “I spoke with Ken Saro-Wiwa Jnr.’s widow today, to express condolences, on behalf of myself and the nation, on the death of her husband.

“I told her that her family is not alone in mourning the passage of the illustrious son of Ogoni land.

“The world salutes Ken Jnr.’s dedication to the clean-up of Ogoni land, after the death of his father, Ken Saro-Wiwa.

“I urge all to honour Ken Jnr.’s memory by supporting us to make his dream of an environmentally safe and prosperous Ogoni land a reality.”
