Buhari meets with Gov. Yari over Zamfara killings

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday held a closed door meeting with Zamafara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari over killings in the state.

36 miners had been killed on Tuesday after bandits invaded Bindin village in Zamfara State, while more than 40 others were said to have been injured.

The meeting was held inside the President’s office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Yari was in the President’s office for an hour after which he emerged with the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.

“That (the killing) was what I discussed with the President,” Yari told journalists.
