President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the Governor of Sokoto state and Senator Aliyu Wamakko, over ministerial nominee, Aisha Abubakar.

Aisha Abubakar is the ministerial nominee from Sokoto state.

Following her nomination, the Senate had received a petition from some stakeholders in Sokoto state, calling for her disqualification in preference of a more competent person.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Senator Wammako had an hour-long discussion with the president over the issues surrounding the ministerial nomination of Abubakar.

Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Imam Imam, revealed to YNaija that: “At the moment, all issues ‎are being resolved.”
