Buhari met with South East politicians today… to discuss pro-Biafra agitation?

A day after several people were killed during the 50th anniversary of the declaration of the defunct Biafra Republic in some states in the South East and South South, President Muhammadu Buhari held a private meeting with politicians from the region.

The meeting was held on Tuesday, May 31, inside the President Buhari’s office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The politicians present are; former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, Senators Ifeanyi Ararume and Osita Izunaso; former member of the House of Representatives, Sharon Ikeazor; former Executive Vice-Charman of Nigeria Communications Commission, Ernest Ndukwe; National Vice-Chairman, South East, All Progressives Congress, Emma Eneukwu; a member of the APC Board of Trustees, Chief Austin Edeze; Dr. Uzoma Obiyo; ‎and Chris Akomas.

Also present at the private meeting was Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, and other top government officials.

The politicians failed to divulge to State House correspondents what was discussed at the meeting.
