Buhari must be judged based on his past performance – PDP says

by Ranti Joseph

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adamu Mu’azu on Saturday in Abuja told the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari that he must be judged based on his past performance.

He disclosed this in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tony Amadi, stating that there was no other way someone seeking power could be assessed other than based on his past performance.

Ma’azu said unlike Buhari, President Goodluck Jonathan was proud of his past record and is happy to be judged by it. “They say we should not judge them on their past record, but how else can they be judged other than through the work they did in the past. The Jonathan administration is proud of its past record and is happy to be judged by it. Why will an opposition party that claims to be agent of change not be judged on its past record in government? What change can they produce without reference to their past record? As far as the economy of Nigeria is concerned today, the present administration of President Jonathan is running on a clear record of good performance and should be voted in for a second term,” Mu’azu said.
