Buhari wants Nigerians to unite to ‘kill’ corruption

President Muhammadu ‎Buhari has appealed to Nigerians to form a united front against corrupt practices in the society irrespective of their political or ethnic affiliations.

Buhari said this on Tuesday when he hosted members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to the breaking of fast at the Presidential Villa.

He also tasked members of the APC to drop their differences or influence in order for the party to fulfil its campaign promises to Nigerians.

Punch reports that he said the APC-led administration is determined to fulfill all the three basic promises of addressing security, economy/employment and corruption, which it made in its manifesto.

“No matter the level you are, drop your influence so that we can help achieve the manifesto – security, economy, employment and corruption — because if we don’t kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria.

“We have to ensure that people we bring forward are those that will move the society forward,” he said.
