Six suspects, Ebere Ukpai Nnachi (aka Kill and Bury), Odichimma Osuji, Chukwudi Nwamara, Amos Obasi, Peter Nwanna and Adamu Suleiman were paraded by State Security Service (SSS) operatives in Ebonyi during the weekend over the kidnap and brutal murder of Ihebunandu Okorie.
Okorie was until his death the former Coordinator of Okposi Development Centre and Proprietor of Zenith International School, Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area.
The victim was said to have been murder before his family could come up with the N50 million ransom being demanded by the group. The gang were said to have over time reduced the ransom to N500,000 following a delay on their initial demands.
Okorie was kidnapped at the Presbyterian Church, Okposi by a gang of four armed men.
His body was, however, found in a forest at Nguzu Edda in Afikpo South LGA during a search operation carried out by the Command and soldiers from Nkwagu Military Cantonment on March 26, 2014.
