BUSTED: Woman arrested for stealing another customer’s money in bank

A 27-year-old woman who confessed to being a prostitute and also a graduate from the college of education has been arrested by the Delta state police command in Asaba, for allegedly stealing the sum of N700,000 from a new generation bank  where she operates a current account.

According to sources, it was learnt that the suspect allegedly entered the bank and headed for the inner room, pretending to be a customer who wanted to lodge money into her bank account.

The arrested suspect, is now held at the  State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) cell.

Leadership reports:

She allegedly removed N350,000 from a customer’s money placed on the counter without being caught. Nemesis, however, caught up with her when she came back and stole N400,000 and was caught by the detectives who acted on a tip-off.

It was gathered that the suspect a native of Uromi, Edo State has been living in Ubulu-Okiti, Aniocha South local government area.

ASP Lucky Uyabeme, police spokesman said the suspect was arrested following a report by a victim of her criminal acts.
