Caught in the act: Another set of policemen recorded in Anambra extorting money from a motorist (WATCH)

Policemen

by Akan Ido

Extortion of innocent citizens by men of the Nigerian Police Force continues unabated as another video showing officers demanding money from a motorist in Anambra surfaces online.

The officers who were allegedly involved in the incident include Stephen Iduh, Anselem Ukachukwu, J. O Daudu of the Servicom Unit.

In the video footage which reportedly happened on September 20, 2013, Iduh was recorded telling the motorist about their refrain from receiving bribes in the full glare of the public. “Settle us, give us N10,000…” he said.

There are indications that the Police Command is trying its best to rid itself of bad eggs in its fold and elements like these should be made to face the weight of the law if found culpable.

  1. May Allah give us peace nd unity in our nation. Ameen ya Allah nd may Allah subahanahu wata ala, protect all our teache's.

  2. If I can have my way, I will scrap the Nigerian Police and increase the Army in number and improve their human relatiob skills them divide them into two: Internal and External. The internal unit should be policing the state while the external will protect the nation against external aggression. Both units to e headed by a Major General and both should be under a Lieutenant General.

  3. This thing has become a cancer that is eating deep into their flesh. can the Nigerian Policemen ever change. Imagine N10,000 over a mistake made at the Vechicle registration office. I think the police shopuld be scrapped and replaced with civil defence corps…Period!
