According to the Chadian army, the country’s soldiers have killed 207 Boko Haram fighters in firefights near Gamboru, which is close to the border with Cameroon.
A statement by the country’s army revealed that during the recent operations, a Chadian soldier was killed while another nine were wounded in the border town.
Chad’s military also claimed to have seized large quantities of small arms and ammunition and two pick-up trucks on Tuesday, February 24.
The coalition of Niger, Cameroon and Chad have launched a regional military campaign to assist Nigeria in the war against Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram.
Chad deployed troops last month in support of Cameroonian efforts to stop repeated cross-border raids by the insurgents.
