Obasanjo writes a new book, absent at launch

Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has written a new booklet, for the kids.

Obasanjo’s new book- a children’s story book on peace- was launched  to celebrate the the 2015 International Day of Peace.

As to why he decided to pen the book, “Peace Story for Children”, Obasanjo said it is to ensure the entrenchment of sustainable peace in the country.

He also said it was important to sow the seeds of peace in the minds of children whose minds were more receptive to ideas.

The 14-page booklet illustrated with various cartoons was launched at OOPL, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

Of course, pupils from different secondary schools in the state, were in attendance at the launch.

Obasanjo, was however not present at the launch of his own booklet, as he was represented by the Director of the OOPL Centre for Human Security, Prof. Peter Okebukola.
