Chocolate City makes finalist list for 2011 Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship

Entertainment label. Chocolate City Group, has been announced as a finalist in the running to win the Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship.
The list of the top ten finalist was released this month in preparation for the grand ceremony on the 6th of December in Nairobi, Kenya.
Two other Nigerian companies were shortlisted in the top ten finalists category as well, they were Pepperoni foods and First Atlantic Semiconductors.
Organisers of the award released a statement defining the objectives of the body. The goals of the Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship are to promote the value of entrepreneurship as a driving force of today’s Africa and to celebrate the standards of business excellence within Africa.
They winner would be chosen after a live presentation before an elite panel of judges where a cash prize would be given.
Over the history of the Africa Awards, more than 4,600 entries has been received however, there are only 30 finalists and winners. These companies and the entrepreneurs who lead them are amongst the best of the best. “We have met remarkable entrepreneurs who never lost belief in themselves, even when confronted by overwhelming challenges but persevered to bring their ideas to fruition,” the statement read.
