JOHNNIE  WALKER  announces  its  partnership  with  CNBC  Africa,  for  the  ‘All  Africa Business  Leader  Awards’  presented  by  Johnnie  Walker  Blue  Label.  This  event  will  pay  homage  to  the  businesspeople  that  best  embody  the  visionary  spirit  of  Johnnie  Walker  Blue  Label.

Following  the  success  of  last  year’s  inaugural  awards,  the  ceremony  stands  to  celebrate  the  pioneering,  bold  and  inventive  individuals  who  have  shaped  the  world  of  African  business and are essentially the change makers for 2013.  Launched  in  2011,  the  AABLA  expanded  regionally  on  the  African  continent  into  West,  East  and  Southern  Africa;  all  culminating  into  a  grand  finale  in  South  Africa.

AABLA – WA 2013 will take place on Wednesday 28th of August at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria and will be attended by captains of industry and government leaders.

The award categories are Young Business Leader of the Year, Business Woman of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and Lifetime Achievement of the Year.

Johnnie Walker is proud to be associated with AABLA awards and will be present to celebrate with recipients of the award.

The judging panel for AABLA West Africa will include; Seyi Bickersteth – National Senior Partner of KPMG Professional Services, Nigeria; Oscar N. Onyema -Chief Executive Officer, The Nigerian Stock Exchange and Bismark J. Rewane – Economist and Banker

Jean-Louis Ekra, President and Chairman of African Export-Import Bank

Segun Agbaje, Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank.

Entrepreneur of the Year:

Fabrice Sawegnon, Founder and CEO of Voodoo Group

Tayo Oviosu, Founder and CEO of Paga

Sim Shagaya, Founder and CEO of Konga.com

Lifetime Achievement Award: Dr. Pascal G. Dozie

Business Woman of the Year:

Biola Adekanbi Alabi, Managing Director of M-Net Africa

Sola David-Borha, Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC

Arunma Oteh, Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria;

Young Business Leader of the Year:
