Respite has come the way of university graduates who are prevented from mobilizing by the management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has declared that the NYSC does not have the legal capacity to deny a graduate mobilization over O’ level results.
The court therefore declared such acts by the NYSC unlawful and ultra vires.
Vanguard reports:
One Terna Tarka, who was denied mobilization on the account that he did not have a credit pass in Mathematics in his O’ Level certificate examination, had filed the suit against chairman, National Directorate of NYSC, and the minister, Ministry of Education, as second and third defendants respectively.
