So today, after we’ve all started taking the first reluctant steps towards moving on from the issue, the women of Adamawa have just decided to make known their opinion on the actions of the wife of the President – the infamous BBC Hausa interview. LOL
The Adamawa League of Women Empowerment held a press conference on Thursday where the spokesperson, Mrs Maryam Ibrahim made the final pronouncement on the matter on behalf of all of Adamawa.
She spared no words in condemning the first lady’s 3-week old action.
“…we unanimously condemn Mrs Aisha Buhari’s BBC interview because it is ill-timed, counter-productive and was done in bad taste. Consequently, Mrs Aisha Buhari’s action negate the spirit of Pula’aku, modesty and decorum which are virtues of fulbe (Fulani).
However, we would like to use this forum to re-iterate our total support and cooperation to President Muhammadu Buhari in his effort to restore the lost glory of Nigeria as a giant of Africa” said Maryam Ibrahim.”
In otherwords summarising much of what has already been said. Oh wait there’s a new dimension here: Pula’aku.
Thanks Adamawa League of Women Empowerment. Thanks.
