Day 6: Countdown to Aisha Buhari’s apology #WhatWeToldTheBBCAboutAisha

It all started with a BBC interview. The wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria went live on the BBC Hausa Service and made comments criticizing the way her husband has been running the government.

The Network had first been reluctant to release the tapes but then they did, and everyone knows how it’s played out since then.

You’d think that the BBC was done, but it appears not. On Friday, the BBC World Service morning show Outside Source went back to the issue in a bid to understand the response of Nigerians to the issue.

Of-course they reached out to us here at YNaija to explain what this countdown is all about. BBC’s Ben James wanted to know if Nigerians really want her to apologise to the President and if the issue is more about what she said or the president’s reaction.

You can still listen here to our response (it’s around the 41st minute in case you want to speed things up). The show is up for a limited number of days… so hurry and listen to what we’ve got to say!
