It is said that the meeting saw a silent Jonathan with the Finance and Petroleum Resources Ministers taking the lead in the discussions. Labour president, Abdulwahed Omar admits that the government has agreed to ‘shift ground’, giving the general impression that a compromise is imminent. The negotiations have been adjourned till Saturday the 14th and the NLC has maintained that the nationwide protests will go on as planned.
