Former Delta State governor, Felix Olorogun Ibru has passed away at the age of 80.

The business tycoon, who was once a Senator, was said to have died after a brief illness.

Ibru was until his death, the President-General of the Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU).

He was born on 7 December 1935 at Agbarha-Otor in the Ughelli North local government area of Delta State to Chief & Chief (Mrs) Peter Epete Ibru.
